We are a hospitality house for Christian ministry workers, including:
- those who work cross-culturally in full-time Christian ministry,
- those who minister in creative-access locations,
- pastors and leaders of Christian ministry organizations.
We operate under Oasis Rest International (ORI), an organization that offers hosted places of skilled, personalized care for ministry workers.
Our house is a family dwelling in a quiet village in Slovenia. The third floor of the house is a guest space with two bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchenette, and a private bathroom. As hosts, we live on the first and second floors of the same house. We only host one unit — such as a married couple or a single woman — at a time. In some cases, we can host a small family with older children upon request. We offer to provide and share one meal a day with our guests, usually the evening meal. Guests are welcome to stay here up to 14 days.
It is our heart to provide a space for ministry workers who need rest, especially those in a challenging season. While we believe vacation is a key component of a healthy work-life balance, the main intent of this house is for Christian retreat, intentional rest, and transformative experiences that refresh the soul. To that end, we offer debriefings (Le Rucher Exchange at the Cross model) and a safe place to talk through ministry issues in an informal coaching environment. As we are single women, we currently only offer debriefings to women.
What is the cost?
We believe Christian hospitality is a reflection of the generous heart of our Father, so we don’t charge our guests for their stay. The expense of hosting is covered by individuals and churches who support this ministry.
